Me too, on Ubuntu 20.04.

Sort order isn't remembered in phpMyAdmin 5.2.0 that recent KeyHelp upgrade installed.

Came here (after good night's sleep to thank you - updated interpreters with new Ubuntu base PHP version 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.10 solved it for now.

I will sleep calmly at night again when PHP 7.4 and newer interpreters are updated for this CVE:

18.04.1 and 18.04.3 are the same distribution, this indicates only a newer patchlevel.
