Re: SSH Benutzer Login nicht möglich [GELÖST]

Alex maybe an idea, but I noticed before that many clients (try to) login with IPv6 and not IPv4. This often causes problems. I changed SSH to IPv4 only. I asked Cinfu.com to restrict my number of IPv6 addresses to 2, it it won't use any other address for incoming and outgoing. As it cause problems ...

Re: SWAP == 0 [GELÖST]

Raid 0 is not something I would ever use. I have used RAID 5, 6, 0+10, 10+0 and all variants. Never ever again. Lost too many data over the years, when that happens and a backup failed, you never use raid other then RAID1. Oomd is rubbish, I do not use it. It can kill mysql and then you loose KeyHel...

I agree. I run a VPS too, with 2GB and 40GB diskspace, works very good. Yet I do not remove the swap. total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 2097152 740984 953816 32508 402352 1323652 Swap: 0 0 0 As diskspace is not an ussue: Bestandssysteem Grootte Gebruikt Besch Geb% Aangekoppeld op /dev...

Point taken, but why would anybody turn off swap in total, makes no sense to do that.
It's the last resort to keep your system from crashing when it runs out of ram.

I would never want to run Linux without swapping, never ever.

Re: Ubuntu or Debian? Which One is good for KeyHelp?

For me that is a simple answer. Ubuntu isn't as good as Debian as it's not always free of upgrade/update bugs. It's nice for desktop usage. My advise, Servers is Debian, no question about it. Also Debian has a far longer lifespan in support then any other distro: https://wiki.debian.org/LTS/Extended...

Re: SWAP == 0 [GELÖST]

Wenn die SWAP Partition nicht existiert müsste diese eigentlich auch nicht im Dashboard angezeigt werden. null_prozent.png Sorry, I do not agree. As swapping doesn't need a partition anymore for it to work. It can also swap to file if no partition exists. https://itsfoss.com/create-swap-file-linux/...

Re: Zeitsynchronisation

You can not set time inside a container as the time is then set for all others too.
It should be set bij the Host-system, not in a container.

You can run NTPD inside a container, but only as time-server not to set the system-time.

Re: automatic restart [SOLVED]

I want to make my server restart every day at 2 in the morning, using scheduled tasks, it asks me for a command, I put reboot, sudo reboot, and it gives me an error, what command could I use? Why? We Linux users are proud to show our uptimes, the longer the better. We never reboot unless is absolut...

Speed / tune your system.

Hi all, As you may or may not know, MariaDB has a big impact on the speed of your system and how fast websites respond. My VPS has 2GB ram, and without tuning MariaDB (Mysql = same) it can make a difference between crawling or go as lightning. The key here is in /etc/mysql/mariadb.conf.d/50-server.c...

Re: Nginx+Apache Hybrid

I see no point to this. Apache has proven to be the best under all circumstances.
I have ran low memory systems with millions of users, in the end the problem always came back to the keybuffer of the database-server.
Never ever was Apache the problem of the load.

Re: error outlook 200y and outlook 2016

Try this, edit /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf Edit or add this to: [system_default_sect] MinProtocol = TLSv1.2 CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=1 Modern systems have set the Seclevel to 2, very old programs can't deal with that. It may solve it. As Seclevel 2 has a higher encrytion than the level 0 and level 1...

Re: Is Ubuntu 22.04 supported ? [SOLVED]

I see no upgrade script either.

Did you try an test-installation to see if it works?
As you can always backup and restore, it's a bit more difficult but should work if a fresh install is supported.
