Looking for a DB admin to recover mariadb

Post by lmarcos »

After 12 hours and a bad migraine, I'm currently desperate. I've run into a problem after mariadb was upgraded and now I cannot even purge and reinstall it (it didn't purge all the config files and it didn't create mysql database).

Can somebody help me? I'm on a very tight budget (no regular income), but I can pay if it's reasonable.

Last resort for me is starting from scratch again, but just thinking about reinstalling sphinx and setting up the backup and crons again... (My fault, the server backup is three months old and I changed stuff afterwards, but I can't access the keyhelp panel right now).

Hi, Is the System Ubuntu 18.04 an Maria DB 10.3.26

You can upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04 with this Script: https://www.keyhelp.de/news/upgrade-ubu ... ubuntu-20/

But do it carefully, without backup this could be more worst than now.

I finally managed to reinstalled mariadb with apt purge, them remove var/lib/mysql with -rm -rf and then installing again... twice.

You should always back-up.
