Update von Ubuntu 20.04 -> 22.04

Aus diesem Grund schlägt auch das dann fehl, dieser Befehl funktioniert dann erst wieder unter Ubuntu 22:

Also führst du nun "do-release-upgrade" selbst aus und antwortest an entsprechender Stelle mit "y". Anschließend setzt du bei Schritt 3 wieder an.

Ich habe das Upgrade gerade auf einem Testsystem durchgeführt.
War in 35 Minuten erledigt und es gab natürlich auch keine Fehler/Probleme.

Allerdings ist mir gerade aufgefallen, dass einige Sachen, die ich nach installiert hatte, nach dem Update wieder weg waren. So z.B. "mc" und "postsrsd" (anderes ist mir noch nicht aufgefallen. Kann das sein?

Im Zuge des Upgrade-Scripts wird nichts dergleichen deinstalliert.
(Es sei den do-release-upgrade ist der Meinung etwas deinstallieren zu müssen, aber darauf hätte das Dist-Upgrade-Script ohnehin keinen Einfluss.)

MC gehört ohnehin zum Standard-Installationsreportoir von KeyHelp, habe deshalb gerade nochmal auf meinen Test-Dist-Upgrade-Servern geschaut: MC ist überall noch vorhanden.

Ich schaue mir eigentlich immer sehr genau an, welche Paket installiert und vor allem deinstalliert werden sollen. Da waren die alle nicht mit dabei. Aber ist ja kein Thema. Wenn ich die Umstellung des Live-Systems mache, werde ich da noch einmal ein gesondertes Auge mit darauf werfen.

Frisches Debian 10 (was anderes bieten die Bei NetCup als Standard nicht, oder ich habe es nicht gefunden).

Keyhelp drauf. Upgrade auf Bullseye. Kein mc, nicht, dass ich ihn vermissen würde, aber er ist nicht da.

Sorry, mein Fehler, hatte ich verdrängt.
Korrektur: Der MC wird nur auf Servern der Keyweb AG standardmäßig installiert, ist also nicht pauschal immer da.

War bei mir auch nicht so. Aber in meinem Fall war das sogar mein eigener Fehler. Ich hatte das System neu aufgespielt und das Restic-Backup eingespielt, weil ja das System sich nicht aktualisieren lässt. Und da ist eben im Standard der mc nicht dabei.

Ich verstehe es einfach nicht. Auf einem Server lief es. Gerade auf dem Hauptserver ist das Update dann doch abgebrochen. Also während der Ausführung von do-release-upgrade. Kann mich aber noch auf dem Server anmelden. Wenn ich nun das do-release-upgrade erneut ausführen möchte, klappt es aber nicht mehr:

Normal wird ja ein neuer Port angelegt - also Port 1022. Doch da kann ich ja auch nicht mehr auf den aktuellen Stand des Upgrades zugreifen.

Und den Update-Prozess neu starten geht ja leider derzeit auch nicht:

Ich hatte dann den Prozess gekillt, um das Update weiter wie folgt ausführen zu können:

Nun aber stockt das Updateskript wieder:

Die Webseiten laufen wieder - das ist schon mal fein. Aber irgendwas stimmt mit dem Update immer noch nicht. Und einen Reboot traue ich mir auch nicht. Da das Skript an der Stelle hängen bleibt, sorgt es mich, dass ein Reboot fehl schlägt?
