The problem isn't ram, but the Clamavis virus scanner that 'abuses' ram.

If you want to use all options of KeyHelp to the max you need RAM, 4GB or more.
If you disable virus-scanning then 2GB or less is not a problem.

Virus scanners do eat ram like candy, that is why Windows is so slow and poor performing.

You do not need active virus scanning in Linux, if you turn it off your system will happily run in 2GB and below.

I run without as I do not care about virusses that can kill windows users as I do not care about windows users at all

I see no point using less then 8 GB in a server.

You may think so, but I'm more then happy to run with 3GB of ram.
No need for more. Most of my servers run even 2GB.

It's just what your needs are, and mine are not high.

Don't know what you do on those things, but I have very little use for such high memory configurations
