So, you are behind a router, and 10.x.y.z is the internal IP.

Do you plan to use KeyHelp as the Nameserver? Then you should enter the public IP of your router.

Else: Just don't take care of DNS on KH.

no option
The first was the DNS Zone Editor, the second one is the panel's local configuration.

Completely unrelated.

What are you trying to achieve?

KH hep has no clue which public IP is behind the router, and it doesn't need to know.

No, it just means, that it doesn't care where it's located.

Within the 10.x.y.z net use it as it would have a public IP, and then let your router take care of the rest.

Bust, again: What are you going to achieve?

refer to my first post

the server that should take care the rest... read and use 10.x.x.x
the domain zone using IN A to 10.x.x.x
not my public ip....

Do you have a static IP on your router?
Do you plan to use KH as a DNS server?

KH need to know your IPs before you install. KH retrieve those IPs from Operating System.

OS in VPS with NAT (1 to 1) can be set to recognize its Public IP by manually registering it in :

Code: Select all

/etc/netplan/xxx.yaml
This can be used to register any IPv4/Ipv6 that has been given to you.

Once it is recognized by OS upon reboot it will be recognized by KH upon installation.

NOTE :
You need to play with ifconfig to know MAC address before creating/modifying respected files.
