Hohe Load nach Serverneustart mit Kernel Update

Hi,

ich weiß aktuell nicht mehr weiter, denn seit dem Serverneustart wo auch ein Kernel-Update durchgeführt worden ist, ist die Server Load deutlich gestiegen (1 -> 4)
Der Load ist auch hoch, wenn keine Prozesse wie Apache, MySQL etc. aktiv sind.

Das wirkliche komisch ist, man hat mir ein neuen Kernel für Debian 11 angeboten durch Installation von Wireguard. Vorher war ich bei 4.19.0-16 und jetzt bei 5.10.0-26-rt
Warum hat mir das System die RT-Version vorgeschlagen? Kann es nur an dieser RT-Version liegen?
Nach dem Upgrade von Debian 10 auf 11 (vor über 1 Jahr) wurde mir der neue Kernel nicht angeboten.

Hat jemand sonst eine Idee? Smart-Werte der Festplatten im Raid sehen recht normal aus.

Du solltest erstmal herausfinden, welcher Prozeß die hohe Last verursacht. Erste Anlaufstellen wären die CLI Tools top, htop und ps.

genau das ist ja gerade das Problem: top zeigt mir nicht wirklich ein Prozess an, der wirklich aktiv die CPU oder die Festplatte beschäftigt.

Ja das stimmt, aber war entsprechend gerade ein Webseitenaufruf, was aktuell auch schon wieder geschlossen ist von der ProzessID her.
Aber nur so ein kleiner Prozess erzeugt doch keine Load von 5 bzw. eine CPU-Auslastung Gesamt von 60-70 %, obwohl System nur 25 % verbraucht

Das erklärt dann auch deinen Screenshot mir der durchschnittlichen Auslastung...71,62% von 8 Kernen ergibt dann die CPU-Load von 5,73.
Dein System würde also erst bei einer Load von >=8 an seine Grenzen kommen.

genau, aber so richtig erklären kann ich mir das trotzdem nicht, denn vor dem Neustart waren die Werte ja normal, was mich ja jetzt zum Überlegen bringt, was das erzeugen kann, bzw. womit das entstanden ist.

Nach dem Upgrade von Debian 10 auf 11 (vor über 1 Jahr) wurde mir der neue Kernel nicht angeboten.

Ein Realtime kernel wird in der Audio & Video Produktion eingesetzt um Signal Latenzen zu veringern und hat auf einem Webserver nichts zu suchen, ein Echtzeit Kernel hat nebenbei auch negative Auswirkungen auf die Sicherheit eines Webservers.

Ein Echtzeit-Linux-Kernel zielt darauf ab, eine begrenzte Reaktionszeit auf ein externes Ereignis zu bieten. Ein Echtzeitsystem hat definierte Zeitbeschränkungen und verfügt somit über eine zeitliche Obergrenze, um eine kritische Operation auszuführen
Die derzeitigen RT Kernel sind selbst im Audio-bereich momentan kaum brauchbar, zu viele Bugs und daher gehe ich davon aus das die CPU wg. des RT Kernels fehlerhaft erkannt wurde und die Overload ebenfalls durch diesen Kernel zustande kommt bzw. erhöht wird im Vergleich zum Standard Kernel.
