Problem with editing files in file manager
Problem with editing files in file manager
I had that problem on KeyHelp 20.0, so i thought its a 20.0 problem, but after upgrading to 20.1 i still cant edit it.
I tried also .html and .php files but still the same problem.
How can i fix it?
EDIT: I forgot to say, i had that issue on DigitalOcean, and i moved to another hosting but still the same problem.
Re: Problem with editing files in file manager
Please check if the files belong to the correct owner and have appropriate file permissions.
(You may want to post a screenshot if you are unsure.)

Re: Problem with editing files in file manager
Although it works, the 777 permission is never a good choice. Please check the file owner. I guess the files belongs to root (or somebody else) and not the user it should be.
(You may have copied the files as root when setting up the account.)
All files should belong to the appropriate user account.
If you are logged in as a user "testuser", all files within it's /www/ folder should belong to the user "testuser".
