Hello

One of my customer has a funny issue, he was able to reach 7.4Gb of mail in a mailbox configured with a 5GB quota.
Now he can't do nothing.

Anyone had similar situation before?

Just give him temporarily 10 GB.
Then he should have access again and can delete older mails.

Or he can order the 5 GB Upgrade

Mailboxes are not directly restricted in a way they would reject incoming emails, instead their total disk space usage is taken into account when deciding to limit the whole user account (-> user can't store any more data / database rights gets restricted).

The user should have receive an email once he reach 90% and a second mail once he reach 100% of disk space usage of his account - All consequences are described in these emails.

Additionally to the already in place behavior, I have now added a notification on the users dashboard, including a description of the consequences, in the case a user exceeds 90% / 100% disk space usage.

(If the user has gained enough free space again, it will still take some time, until he get fully unlocked again - the KeyHelp maintenance job 'Calculate disk space' is responsible for restricting / de-restricting of user accounts - it runs once a hour by default)
