Please upgrade MariaDB at least to version 10.2

Because several PHP scripts are no longer compatible with MariaDB 10.1

Which OS are you using?
You can upgrade MariaDB manually.
MariaDB 10.4 and higher is not yet fully supported by KeyHelp.

Unfortunately since it's a production server I can't take this risk.
My OS is Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS (with MariaDB 10.1)

Then you have to update the operating system. Keyhelp itself does not bring a database, but uses the database of the operating system. Then it depends on which database version is standard in the corresponding version of the operating system.

Just make a full backup of all your databases.
The update itself is easy and straight forward. You can‘t do wrong.

I have made this update to 10.3 on my 18.04 Ubuntu.
Works very well.

KeyHelp provides the database version which was selected by the operating system maintainers as the best option for the most stable performance over the lifetime of the operating system version. It is called "Long-Term Support" for a reason . KeyHelp's philosophy is to respect this and act like it.
Installing a database version other than the one deemed suitable by the operating system maintainers must be done manually (in the case of mariaDB, this is quite easy).
