No File Manager after installation [SOLVED]
No File Manager after installation
installation was successful. no File Manager in the left menu. By default File Manager (In setting) in on mode.
Did I miss something? For me it look like "new policy", no payment, no File Manager.
Looks like totally useless CP without File Manager.
Re: No File Manager after installation
have you enabled the file manager in the user's ressource settings?

Re: No File Manager after installation
(actually i dont understand why i must "enabled" file manager when it should be "enabled by default". anyway it "enabled" by default, but i enabled it again without any effect - no file manager in the left menu, i check youtube's videos and I definitely can see this File Manager in the left menu)
Re: No File Manager after installation [SOLVED]
but you know that you only see the file manager in a user's session, not in the admin session?

Re: No File Manager after installation
But my first reaction was:
"Really? Doesn't the admin need a file manager? Okay! Definitely: a file manager for an administrator is a completely pointless thing.
Is this some kind of weird "it logic" that the ordinary engineer like me doesn't understand?"
Re: No File Manager after installation
No, never used it.
Admin has the shell, if he's too stupid he can use mc.
Let me guess: You "engineer" use Windows …

A Windows user reinstalls software every few weeks.
A Linux user reinstalls software every few weeks.
The difference is with Linux the version numbers change.
Re: No File Manager after installation
As an admin, you do not have the correct rights to edit files.
If you do so as root, you can make the files inaccessible for the user.
If you wish to edit userfiles, you need to change in the userspace anyway.
So what is your point?
