Clamscan using 100% and runing long hours
Clamscan using 100% and runing long hours
OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
CPU: AMD Opteron) Processor 6234
RAM: 24GB
KeyHelp version + build number
v25.1
Problem description / error messages
Since I've re-enabled Clamscan (I've figured it out that was disabled since a Keyhelp upgraded, I am not sure the reason; my server has enought RAM and CPU power), clamscan task from keyhelp is using 100% CPU and seems it does take forever (I am seing right now a task runing since almost 9hours by now).
Expected result
Should be running faster/using less CPU resources?
Actual result
Seems takes too long and uses 100% CPU resources.
Steps to reproduce
Just figured it out in the process list.
Re: Clamscan using 100% and runing long hours
how long this task is running depends on the amount of data it has to scan. Especially when there a many small files (e.g. session files that are never deleted) it can take a very long time.
