Hi there,

I need to permanently keep IMAP and disable POP3 so everyone should only use IMAP.

How to do that?

Hallo,

e.g. you can block the ports 110 and 995 via firewall

In addition to that: Does IMAP need DNS Records in order to work properly? All the ports are free, but I cannot connect to the Email in another program for example in Outlook. Not with POP3 neither with IMAP.

Hallo,

that depends on teh settings you made in your mail client.

The hostnames you use for the SMTP- and POP3/IMAP server should point to the server and shoudl be secured by a certificate.

Of course you can also use the IPs of your server, but then you will face certificate warnings.
